Fun In The Bluegrass [Free Selections] 5b1m20

inChurchill Downs is home of the Derby. It has lights, and is doing some very cool things. But, it also has regular days at the races. They won’t write about a day at the races on a Thursday afternoon. But, we will take advantage of some great plays and build our bankroll. I like average days as much as the marquee days. Let’s keep the ball rolling, and dig in and enjoy some sun in the Bluegrass State.
Churchill Downs
Race #1 – #3 Shryock (5-2).
Miguel Mena is up in the saddle. Trainer Wally Dollase doesn’t do much business in this region, but when he does, it usually has good consequences.
2/4 ITM at CD, and cropping in class from mdn 30 – mdn 15 last out, looked like a good move. Comes right back at the same level, and I like the move. He loomed four wide last out, and came up a little empty in the lane. i think more gas will be in the tank for one of the most quiet money trainers in the game. I see a solid effort, and I would dig into the tier levels and find exotic action.
Race #4 – #1 Satisfied Mind (4-1).
3/3 ITM at Churchill, and B.J Hernandez is in the saddle. Trainer Brad Cox is rolling 67% a winner, and was claimed. He rolls at a crisp 40% on this angle, and you should pay heed to that number. The barn coming 3 off a layoff wins 20%, and being a winner last race out yields 27% and 61% ITM.
Race #5 – #6 Miss Lotawata (4-1).
Lopez in the irons for Thom Drury. They are dropping down two classes, and that gets them 40% winners and 70% ITM. Going from mdn 20 down to mdn 10 is a nice drop. 2/2 ITM at CD, and the dam is 100% ITM with her babies running. Stretch out from 5 1/2 to 6 s gives a little more ground, and that can make a difference.
Good Luck!
