We did pretty well on Wednesday, but as predicted, they would not pay much. There was a huge Pick-6 carryover, and WinningPonies is always dialed to cash in.

Saratoga – Thursday

Race #2 – #1 Stargleam (4-1)

Ramon Dominguez up for Chris Engelhardt (20%). 1/1 at The Spa, and comes fresh off a claim where the barn wins 30%. Goes up one level in class, and they score 27%. Winner in his last race, and the rail is golden, scoring at a rate of 26%. The price is right!

Race #3 – #2 Never Right Joey (7-5)

John Velasquez in the irons for Todd Pletcher and they hook up 37% with babies. 1/1 at The Spa, and Pletcher does very good with two-yr-olds. Exits a 4-1/2 length victory, and is a speedy son of Tapit.

Race #9 – #1 Antrim Shield (7-2)

Alan Garcia is up for Christophe Clemente and they roll at 25% winning and 75% ITM. The dam was a stakes winner, and he ran a huge 3rd place effort right out of the gate. A son of Giant’s Causeway, and that is good breeding.  Goes from 1-1/4 to 1-3/16, and the barn wins 25% making a second start.
