inI have been itching to get back in the swing of things. New York racing can be the tonic for anything that leaves a horseplayer wanting more. I love this meet, and you have plenty of trainers who focus on this time of year. Here are a few selections you will want to examine with the tier levels. The color coded predictions make it easy to use, and there just may some hidden value on this day.
Belmont Park – Wednesday
Race #1 – #6 Adams Circle (5-2)
Johnny V. in the irons for Rudy Rodriguez (40%). Now, that is a team to be reckoned with. 1/1 ITM on the surface, and was claimed two races back. They hit at a sweet 22% on this mark. Huge drop in class from Saratoga, and goes from 7 s to 6 furlongs. 3/4 ITM at the distance, and looks like a good stalker. I see an impressive runner, who may score off that beaten favorite effort last out. Oh, by the way… The barn wins 46% on that move if you are keeping score.
Race #3 – #9 Bridge to Nowhere (3-1)
Ramon Dominguez in the irons, and 4/6 ITM at Belmont. “Big Sandy” brings the best out in some, and the worst in others. The turns are sweeping, and riders get lost if they are not in tune with the oval. 2nd off of a claim, and that wins at 20% for the conditioner. The rider / trainer match up well and win 17% and 67% ITM.
Race #4 – #12 Rock America (3-1)
Ramon Dominguez again… But this time for Linda Rice. what I said about riders who know the course? This guy knows it all too well…. 3rd time off of a layoff, and 2nd time back off the claim box. Drops in class, and goes from mdn to mdn claiming, and the trainer rolls at 25%. A bullet work last out shows me that readiness is there, and we should definitely take a serious look.
Good luck!
