Nothing like a little New York to get me ready for the big weekend. I am looking to ramp up my bankroll, and I am starting here.

Aqueduct – Thursday

Race #1 – #5 Calibrachoa (1-1)

Ramon Dominguez in the saddle, and Asmussen is the trainer. Going from 50k- 40k, and a beaten favorite last out, can give him some added gas down the lane. After a yielded trip last out, I see a much better effort.

Race #2 – #6 Big Blue Kitten (3-1)

J.J Castellano in the irons for Chad Brown (33%). Gets first lasix, and debut turfers win 67% in this barn. Castellano wins 27% on the weeds, and this son of Kitten’s Joy should like his surroundings.

Race #8 – $60,000 Restrainor Stakes – New York-breds

#2 Luxury Appeal (5-2)

Prado up for Jerkins, and 3/3 ITM. New York action looks to fit his bill, and his great late foot in the Sleepy Hollow shows promise. Goes from 7f – a 1 turn mile. He sets up well today for a rejuvenated Prado.
